itinerary
day 01
Arrival in Maceió (capital city of the State Alagoas).
There is not a specific time required for your arrival on this day, you can arrive in the city of Maceio at any time during the day. Later in the afternoon, Meet & Greet at the hotel in Maceio to inform the equestrian group about the coming days. Dinner and accommodation in a comfortable hotel in Maceio.
day 02
Maceió – Beach of Jequiá
Following a delicious breakfast, we will leave early to find the horses on the paradisiacal beach of Jequiá. Here is where we will select our horse, set the stirrup, and start our day's ride. The journey begins immediately in one of the deserted beaches, dotted with multicolored sand cliffs and coconut palms. Our ride today will be impressive. The dunes of Marapé are located between the river and the sea. Later in our tour, we will leave our horses in the middle of the preserved mangroves to enjoy a boat excursion through the mangroves, take a refreshing swim in an area where the river and the sea meet. The sunset here is stunning. We will spend the night at the Posada - Dunas de Marapé.
day 03
Jequiá Beach – Pontal do Coruripe
We will wake up amazed with the incredible natural beauty of this place. Our horses are saddled up and ready to take us through a new day and sunshine. Today's ride will be along more beautiful virgin beaches, bordered by coconut palms, and we will once again appreciate the lush vegetation of the Atlantic forest. The reefs are visible from the saddle. Our destination is the beach of Pontal do Coruripe with its omnipresent lighthouse. The warm sea water is perfect for a swim. Lunch and overnight at the Pousada - Pontal do Coruripe.
day 04
Rio Grey - Lake PehoePontal do Coruripe - Feliz Deserto
Departure towards Feliz Deserto. Feliz Deserto means Happy Desert, so here we decided to spend two happy nights at Feliz Deserto. Not long after we take the trail to the sea, we will find the mouth of the Coruripe River that gives its name to the area. Are you ready for the adventure? You will cross the river with horses. Soon after we cross the river we will stop to refresh ourselves in the sea and meet our team of supporters who will be waiting for us with coconut water and tropical fruits. We continue through deserted beaches, and also we will cross riding some beautiful beach villages; also we will enjoy some artisan fishermen's activities during this ride. Right before reaching our lodging place, we find on the beach the wreck of the Swiss Cargo "The Stockholm". Our exclusive beach house awaits us in the Desert of Feliz. We will spend the night in the Beach House.
day 05
Feliz Deserto – Marituba Lagoon – Feliz Deserto
Right after breakfast, delicious as usual, we will saddle up our horses to start our ride inland, away from the beach, in the direction of the Marituba wetlands, a protected area with a unique ecosystem. Here, we will have time to swim in their clear waters. We will enjoy our lunch and take a short nap before returning to our inn. The return will be this time along the beach, which will allow us at the end of it, to enjoy an exciting gallop. We will spend the night at the beach house. (breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner).
day 06
Feliz Deserto – Pontal do Peba (Fishing Village)
Today we will dedicate it to enjoy the best of this wonderful region, with its pristine beaches, coconut trees, small and colorful fishing villages. So today, we will dedicate the time to enjoy refreshing baths in the sea, and to delight ourselves of course with the local food and its excellent fresh seafood dishes that come all the time from the small boats that splash this gorgeous coast. The location of our hostel is privileged, since it is at the edge of the beautiful sea. We will spend the night at the Posada in front of the beach.
day 07
Pontal do Peba – Bonito – Potengi
The picturesque fishing village of Pontal do Peba, with its bars and restaurants specializing in seafood, is the starting point for today's ride. We explore an area of dunes and environmental preservation from the saddle. Among the coconut trees and dunes you can see some tropical birds, reptiles and mammals. We will finish today's ride in one of the traditional coconut farms of the region. We will spend the night at the Posada).
day 08
Beach– Dunes – Mouth of the São Francisco River – Penedo
Today we will ride through a coconut forest until we find the huge complex of dunes which we will cross, until we reach the São Francisco River, we will cross the Quilombola village of Pixaim. (a quilombo is a village of escaped slaves) Here in the river, we will village of escaped slaves) Here in the river, we will enjoy a swim to refresh ourselves and drink fresh coconut, and delight in some snacks. We will leave our horses, and get into a boat to navigate until we reach the riverbanks where we have lunch. At the end of the afternoon, we will arrive at the colonial city of Penedo. Overnight at the hotel.
day 09
Penedo – Maceió
No rush to get out of your bed. After a pleasant breakfast, we will take a walk around the city to see the beautiful baroque-style churches, the old houses, the theater and convent, and all the other architectural gems of Penedo. Lunch in a traditional restaurant overlooking the river. After lunch, we will leave for Maceio. End of the itinerary. (Breakfast and lunch).

Staying an extra night in Maceio is sometimes the best/ cheapest option (wide range of choice of hotels) so you can go out when it suits you on the 10th
