The climate and the scenery one encounters but also the adventure one experiences on this ride are hallucinating! Rugged and untamed, doesn’t that sound like the ideal riding destination?! Yes, we take you on one hell of a riding holiday to the most beautiful place in the world; TORRES DEL PAINE in Chilean Patagonia!

Riding your Chilean Criollo horse you will be dazzled by seeing the blue peaks of Torres del Paine, by the majestic glaciers, lakes, whitewater rivers, snow-covered mountains, and fjords.

trip highlights:

  • You will spend 8 days in Patagonia of which 5 days in the saddle, ride through the National Park of Torres del Paine following the Serrano river to arrive at the next National Park Bernardo O'Higgins.

  • You will be riding 7 hours per day on strong and courageous horses and will soon discover that they are a pleasure to ride with.

  • Besides riding, you will be invited to jump on the vessel “Cutter 21 de Mayo” for a boat adventure from Monte Balmaceda to Puerto Natales and see fjords along icy rivers that are home to dolphins and whales.

  • You will meet and ride with the Patagonian gauchos, gallop in vast pampas on endless sheep farms, spend nights in cozy country houses and other nights in tents on the wild side, where you will fall asleep next to the campfire and wake up watching the Andes condor flying above your head. In other words, breathtaking views and an unequal equestrian experience await you at the end of the world!

Although we do our very best to adhere to the schedule listed above, this itinerary is subject to change for numerous reasons beyond our control including weather and terrain conditions. The final route is always left up to the discretion of the trip leader in the field.

** Prices are linked to the Chilean Peso, in case of strong exchange rate fluctuations, the price can be adjusted up to 3 weeks before departure.

** Are you alone? do not worry, you can individually register/book and join in a group with other riders.

Included:

  • Accommodation: night 4 nights in cozy guesthouses, based on double-rooms and 3 nights camping. You will be sleeping in tents with space for 2 persons in each tent. 

  • Meals: from the first-day dinner to breakfast last day. (except dinner on day 6)

  • Guides: Fluency in several languages by the leader guides of the group between the languages are: English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. The local Chilean guides are equipped with cell phones and radio so they can call for assistance if needed.  

  • Backup Vehicle: brings your personal luggage to the daily overnight camp place. 

  • Horses & tack, including saddlebags.

  • Entrance fees & admission for the National Parks Torres del Paine & Bernardo O’Higgins.

  • Boat trip to Puerto Natales

  • International Passport:  Required for most foreigners (still 6 months valid)

  • Visa:  most European and Latin American citizens do not need a visa to travel to Chile. Contact the Chilean Embassy in your country for more information. 

  • Travel Insurance is mandatory.

  • Trip Cancelation Insurance, mandatory.

  • International and local flights tickets. Gateway is Punta Arenas (PUQ)

  • Vaccinations: not mandatory but recommended (consult your physician)

  • Luggage: the maximum allowable weight of your luggage depends from airline to airline. Check with the airline or travel agent how many kilograms and pieces of luggage you can take. Your personal luggage is transported during the trek to the various stopovers.

  • Health: Chile is a safe country in terms of health. You can easily eat and drink anything without being stomach bothered. Eating raw vegetables, salads and ice-creams is no problem. There are no vaccinations required for Chile.

  • Language: Spanish is the official language in Chile, but do not worry our guide speaks  6 languages and will help and translate with pleasure where needed.

  • Safety: Chile is one of the safest countries in Latin-America, on the trail ride there is no need to worry at all!

  • Horses: Chilean Criollo

  • The riding: Trailride, 5 days on horseback, riding from one place to the other, average of 6 hours per day in the saddle.

  • Saddles: comfortable Patagonia saddles.

  • Guides: professional and multilingual guides

  • Comfort: basic during the camping & comfortable at the guesthouses.

  • Riding level: Suitable for intermediate to experienced riders. You should be confident on a horse at all paces. 

  • Group Size: Minimum 8 participants and Maximum  14 riders

  • Riders weight limit: 120 Kg
